A New Chapter of
Compassionate Care:
A J Sumner & Son
joins Caldecott & Sons

At Caldecott & Sons, our commitment has always been rooted in providing dignity and respect to the families we serve during their most difficult moments. Today, we are honoured to share an important update about the future of our local funeral services.

As of August 2026, A J Sumner & Son Funeral Directors is officially being incorporated by Caldecott & Sons Funeral Directors.

Carrying Forward
a Proud Legacy

For many years, Paul and Linda Sumner have built a reputation based on trust, deep empathy, and unwavering personal care. They have walked alongside countless families, guiding them through grief with patience and kindness.

We want to reassure our community that while the name on the door may evolve, the heart of the service remains exactly the same. Caldecott & Sons is dedicated to continuing Paul and Linda’s signature personal and caring service. The values, attentiveness, and gentle touch which families came to rely on with the Sumner family will remain central to everything we do.

Proud to Serve
Our Community

Being entrusted with a family’s final farewell is a profound privilege. With this incorporation, Caldecott & Sons is extraordinarily proud to expand our dedication to the area and remain an active, supportive part of this wonderful community.

"To serve a community is to be a part of it’s history, it’s memories, and it’s heart. We are truly honoured to carry Paul and Linda’s legacy forward and continue supporting local families with the utmost care."

Here for You, Always

Whether you are planning ahead, needing immediate support, or simply have questions about what this transition means for you, our doors and lines are always open.

Thank you for your continued trust in us as we embark on this next chapter together.
